Virginia Coker is the physical embodiment of music in human motion. Her natural movements are beautiful and graceful and I suspect that Virginia may be the incarnation of Terpsichore, the Greek Muse of Dance. It gives me great pleasure simply watching her move. We have learned much about dance from Virginia.
She emphasized the smooth upward and downward flowing movement of Waltz by having us do a standing drill gracefully moving up and down in place. Virginia called it an elevator movement (perhaps it is more like an escalator).
Take a look at a UTUBE of Virginia Coker dancing with Antonio Daza.
